I posted a brief description of how this forum could work in the Welcomes and Introductions field. You can find it here: www.dogblogtech.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1I'll post other instructions for how to use features here in case people have trouble getting around. Check the next post for detailed instructions on how to get email notifications of new comments.

- Open up the subject you wish to follow by clicking on General Boards and then the title of the thread you wish to follow.
- In the blue bar, on the left, you'll see "search" and "bookmark." Click "bookmark" if you want to get emails when this topic is updated.
- Repeat these first steps for every thread you want to follow by receiving emails when they are updated.
- Is there a topic you wish was here and hope someone will post something? Add it yourself. Go to the right side of the blue bar and select "new thread." Start a new topic with an introductory post. Click the bookmark box under the typing box.
- Look at the top of the page. You'll see icons (under the welcome message). Select "profile."
- Under the blue bar, you'll see "modify profile" (where you can change your display name or signature line), "bookmarks," and "social networks" (where you can link to your Facebook or Twitter accounts.)
- Click "bookmarks."
- On the right hand side of the blue bar, check "manage bookmarks."
- On the "manage bookmarks" page, select "email" to receive an email when that thread is updated.
- After selecting email for every thread you want to follow, click "update bookmarks & preferences" at the bottom left of the page.
That's it. You should have emails in your box every time someone posts an update. Let me know if you have any other problems and I'll try to troubleshoot.
